SWP East Mid Week Round Up
South West Peninsula Division 1 East Mid-week Round-Up (18.10.18)
On Tuesday night Newton Abbot Spurs recorded only their third win of the season, when they defeated Alphington 2 – 0 at home. The goals came from Dom Osbourne and Jake Elms. The win was good enough to lift Spurs up a couple of places in the table to 15th.
Wednesday night saw Bovey Tracey and Liverton United in action against Honiton Town and Budleigh Salterton respectively.
Bovey went into the game against Honiton knowing a win would take them into second place above Stoke, however Honiton had other ideas and came away with a 2 – 2 draw after going behind twice. The Bovey goals came in each half curtesy of Stockton and an own goal.
At the other end of the table the game between the bottom two ended in a 3 – 1 win for Budleigh Salterton, leaving Liverton United rooted to the foot of the table and still awaiting their first win and points of the season.
