The Gulls have signed towering striker Enoch Showunmi on an initial one-month loan deal from Notts County.
The powerful front-man is a former Nigeria international and has the physique and experience to give manager Chris Hargreaves a terrific new option in his strike-force.
Showunmi began his career at Luton Town and stayed with the Hatters for three seasons before joining Bristol City in 2006.
A loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday preceded a permanent switch to Leeds United. He then starred for Falkirk in Scotland and Tranmere Rovers before settling at Meadow Lane.
Showunmi will wear the number 25 shirt for United and goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s trip to Hartlepool.
