Paignton Sailing Club will be open for visitors from 12pm on Sunday 15th May. Refreshments will be available and visitors are welcome to view their clubhouse facilities, dinghy park, clubroom, training room, kitchen facilities and bar. Weather permitting, eligible and enthusiastic visitors can opt to be taken out for a sail in the bay in some of the clubs’ 18 club boats, under the supervision of one of their RYA trained instructors. There will also be safety power boats on the water in the form of one or two of the club’s four RIBs. Those not wishing to sail could instead relax and choose a ride in one of these to share in the thrill of being out on the beautiful Torbay waters. Those wishing to take part in one or the other of these activities are asked to bring appropriate warm and, if possible, waterproof clothing to change into, suitable footwear and possibly a towel – just in case! Otherwise just go on in, say hello and have a free cup of tea, coffee or, if the bar is open, something a little stronger, and enjoy the stunning views the club has over the harbour and the bay. Club members look forward to seeing you in Paignton Harbour on the day!
