South West Peninsula Division One East :
A full programme of eight East Division league games today saw plenty of goals and action. The top two both played and won home games with Galmpton United staying in pole position with a 2-0 win over Liverton United and the days only clean-sheet.
Teignmouth in 2nd place came from behind to beat Appledore 2-1 at Coombe Valley and both the top 2 pulled away from their other challengers, Exwick Villa and Stoke Gabriel, as those two sides met at the Sports Hub and shared a thrilling contest with a 3-3 draw that also saw both sides finish with 10 men each.
Totnes & Dartington remain in 5th place after they won 3-2 away at Sidmouth Town whilst Crediton United climbed a place to 7th after they also won away from home with a 2-1 win at the University of Exeter.
Newton Abbot Spurs who had been falling down the table recently got back to winning ways with a 4-2 win away at Plymstock United, with the maximum points haul pulling Spurs back up 4 places in the table from 13th to midtable security in 9th!
Axminster Town climbed off the bottom of the table as their 1-1 draw with Okehampton Argyle in a contest played at Feniton United, was enough for the Tigers to pull ahead of Liverton on goal difference. Another game to end all square was at the Chronicles where Alphington drew 3-3 with visiting Budleigh Salterton in an entertaining East Devon Derby.
