Buckland got off to a flyer with two first half goals from Lloyd Gardner and Charlie Johansen, who also hit the post, giving the hosts a comfortable 2-0 cushion at the break. Johansen then turned provider after the interval, pulling the ball back for substitute Jared Lewington to add another to his tally. Then it was Lewington’s turn to assist, playing in fellow sub Si Revell to fire past Simon Bleazard via the post. Sherborne pulled one back next, Kameron Andrews benefiting from a free header to beat Grant Fisher, but there was one more goal left in Bucks , Lewis Perring becoming the seventh Bucks goalscorer to find the net against the Dorset side this season with a shot from over 20 yards out seven minutes from full time.
Buckland are now eight unbeaten in all competitions and with Street and Melksham Town playing each other on Saturday, a win at Gillingham will see them gain ground on the top three.
