Dyson Nets Hat-trick

Dyson Nets Hat-trick

Newton Abbot Spurs remain top in the South West Peninsula East Division, after their Wednesday night away trip to Axminster Town.

Spurs fell behind in the 21st minute when Daniels found the net from long range.

However, the advantage only lasted four minutes, as an in-swinging cross from Andrews found Dyson, who’s header was saved well before Dyson followed up to knock the ball home.

With the sides going in level at half time, it was Dyson again who put the Newton Abbot side into the lead after 52 minutes, when his close range header found the back of the net.

The 3 points where then sealed with 10 minutes of the game remaining when Dyson claimed another hat-trick for Spurs.

The win keeps Newton Abbot Spurs 4 points clear at the top of the league, after there were also wins for St Martins and Budleigh Salterton on the night. Martins do however have two games in hand on Newton, so it’s important Spurs keep this winning run going.

Spurs are back on the road this Saturday as they travel to Sidmouth Town (3pm), before a home fixture against Brixham AFC (7:30pm).
