Dorchester 0 v 3 TUFC
Torquay United won 3-0 at Dorchester in their second friendly of the pre-season campaign on Saturday afternoon.
The Gulls played some excellent football throughout and could have won by a lot more against a decent Dorchester outfit.
In the end, all three goals came in the second-half and the outcome left United assistant manager Lee Hodges feeling very positive about our pre-season progress.
‘We played some excellent football and fully deserved the win,’’ said Lee. ‘’Aaron Downes scored the first with a header from a corner and that got us under way.
‘’Louis Briscoe added number two with another header and then a close-range effort from trialist Courtney Baker-Richardson came from a sweet cross by Jordan Chapell.
‘’All the boys looked really fit and we were particularly pleased with the young lads who came on in the second-half, and showed terrific promise for the future.’’
Next up for the Gulls is a home game against Yeovil Town on Tuesday night.
