After their cup exploits, Buckland were looking to stay in touch with the top three after a mixed bag of league results that have included a win over defending champions Odd Down, a draw against newly promoted Chipping Sodbury and a heavy defeat to Melksham Town. The signs were ominous when, after 21 minutes, Mark Salter scored past Grant Fisher to put the visitors in front. But Bucks found an equaliser when, four minutes from half time, Lloyd Gardner blasted past Leigh Bailey and into the corner of the Bridport net. It could have been even better for the Yellows had the referee awarded a penalty when Gardner went down in the box shortly afterwards but the claim was waved away. Jared Lewington edged himself ahead of Gavin Hammon in the goalscorers charts as he fired Buckland into a second half lead before Richard Groves made it three with a wicked free-kick into the top corner.
