Ollie Aplin put us a goal up after one minute after a throw-in from Phil Kingman to Mike Turner who beat his man and got to the byline before crossing for Aplin to tap home. The lead only lasted five minutes when Liverton failed to clear and a Budleigh player smashed the return in from 18 yards. After 20 minutes, Cianan Breen was put through after an excellent through ball from Turner to coolly bend the ball round the ‘keeper. Next came a long ball from Cameron Kelly to Josh Cawsey, and it was the left wing-back who crossed for Turner to score and make it 3-1. On 40 minutes, a solo run from Aplin from the half way line ended with the striker firing low past the keeper to make it 4-1. The first half finished when Turner outmuscled the Budleigh centre-half and fired past the ‘keeper from 20 yards into the top corner to make the score 5-1 at the break.
The second half was always going to be an anti-climax and fizzle out. Budleigh did have a shot cleared off the line by Kelly, but Liverton should have gone further ahead with chances from Turner and Lee Chamberlain. Instead they had to wait until two minutes from time when Alex Harding pulled the ball back for substitute Ben Carter to make it 6-1.

Teignmouth let a two goal lead slip to draw 2-2 with mid table Brixham with the home side grabbing an equaliser in the seventh minute of stoppage time in an exciting game of football.
Teigns took the lead in the 20th minute when Ryan Bush took advantage of some slack defending to shoot low into the bottom left corner of the Brixham net from eight yards.
Teigns edged the midfield battle and were worthy leaders at the interval and came out strong in the second half, doubling their lead in the 47th minute. Sam Chapman’s pace and trickery left the home defence in his wake and he hit a cracking 20-yarder into the top corner past a diving Brixham ‘keeper. The home side pulled a goal back seven minutes later, Sam Green curling a well-placed shot past Teigns ‘keeper Liam Jones. Brixham raised their game and had a goal disallowed for offside in the 67th minute. Teigns went in search of a third goal and Ian Wilkinson and Finn Graham combined For Wilkinson to shoot from the edge of the box, only to see his effort beat the ‘keeper but clip the outside of the post. Brixham pushed forward and Teigns defended well but, with time running out, Scott Dodgson was found unmarked at the far post to head home the stoppage time leveller.
Teigns hold onto their second place position but leaders Galmpton beat Crediton 2-0 to give them a 4 point cushion. This coming Saturday, Teigns are at home to Exwick Villa: Kick off 2-15pm.

Premier Division:
On Wednesday 12th November, in the top flight, bottom of the table Bovey Tracey earned a precious point with a 0-0 draw away at 5th placed Exmouth Town. Bovey were still left five points adrift at the bottom but the result put an end to a run of six straight defeats and was also the first time this season they had kept a clean sheet. On the Saturday, league leaders Ivybridge Town suffered just a third defeat of the season as they were beaten 3-1 by visiting Launceston at Erme Valley. St Austell slipped from third as they saw their game away at Bovey Tracey postponed, the only top flight game called off. Stoke Gabriel moved six points clear of the bottom after collecting a point from a goalless draw at home to Callington Town in a repeat of the Charity Vase final played back in August.
Division One East:
The wet weather affected the East section again but leaders Galmpton United had a 2-0 home win over Crediton United which extended their lead at the top to four points. Axminster Town leap-frogged Newton Abbot Spurs with a 5-2 win at the Rec which sees Spurs go bottom. At Sidmouth Town, the faithful at Manstone Lane were treated to a ten goal thriller as the Vikings drew 5-5 with Totnes & Dartington, a record equalling score draw for the division.
